Already keeping notes in another app? No need to move them by hand — Loknot can bring everything over at once, folders and tags included.
Open Saved notes → cloud icon → the "Backups" screen → "Move in from another app". There are two ways in:
- Import from a file — an exported archive: Google Keep (via
Google Takeout), Evernote (
.enex), Notion, Simplenote, or any ZIP of notes. - Import from a folder — an Obsidian, Logseq or any plain-text / Markdown vault already on your device (exports from Joplin, Standard Notes, Markor, iA Writer, Bear and others work too).
Before anything is written, the app shows a preview: how many notes, folders and tags will be created. Nothing is overwritten — to undo the import, just delete the folder it creates.
What doesn't come across:
- Attachments (images, files, audio) — Loknot stores text only. A note of what was attached is left in its place.
- Deeply nested folders — Loknot folders are single-level. The top level becomes a folder, and the full path is kept as a tag.
- Corrupted or unreadable files — these are skipped, and the app tells you how many.
