10.1 Send text and links straight into a new note
Loknot appears in Android's system share sheet. Select text or open a link in a browser or another app, tap Share, and choose Loknot. The app immediately creates a new note with the shared content.
- Selected text becomes the body of a new note.
- A shared link is added to the note and remains clickable in Markdown preview.
- The note is saved automatically, just like one created inside Loknot.
10.2 Share a note from Loknot
Share (the toolbar icon) sends a copy of the note's text to a messenger, mail app, or another destination. The original stays in Loknot. Screenplays are shared as Fountain files.
10.3 Export
Export (the download icon) lets you choose a format:
| Format | What it's for |
|---|---|
.txt | Plain text — opens anywhere |
.md | Markdown — for other note apps |
.html | A finished web page with all note formatting preserved |
.pdf | Screenplays only Pro — finished paginated layout |
.loknot | A complete copy of the note with fonts and styling, ready to open in desktop Loknot |
You can export several notes at once: select them in the list and pick Export.
10.4 Import files
Loknot opens .txt, .md, .markdown and .fountain files. The display mode is picked based on the file type: .md opens as Markdown, .fountain as a screenplay.
